Training funds for professional development activities are available for staff or volunteers of tax-exempt, nonprofit community organizations. Requests for training funds in amounts over $50 must be matched by the applicant. No more than $250 shall be allocated to any one organization per year.
Eligible applicants must:
Funds may not be used for fund-raising events, conferences or events not related to the applicant's ongoing mission, or for costs already incurred. Funding is not available to organizations that do not have a non-discrimination policy.
Applications for Training Funds should include:

Name of the organization, address, phone number and e-mail address of a contact person

Description of organization's mission and community services

Description of how the organization utilizes or plans to utilize volunteers

Description of the training for which the applicant is seeking funding, including the name(s) and positions of those being trained and the expected benefits derived from the training

A line-item budget for the organization, including a list of other funding sources

Proof of 501(c)(3) status (copy of IRS letter)
