What can I do to help The Shop?
Please spread the word to friends, neighbors and co-workers who may have items to donate and who’d like receive nice tax receipt in return! Or, consider offering your co-workers a donation drop-off at your office. If you collect donations, Shop Committee members can pick them up from you.

Need some promotional support? Grab some copies of our nifty Shop bookmark to share with others. They’re available at The Shop or in the front office at the Gatehouse, and explain how – and what – to donate.

What is my annual obligation to The Shop?
Active Members

• Donate $200 worth of merchandise or
• Buyout for $125 or
• Work three 3-hour Shop shifts

Active Plus Members

• Donate $45 worth of merchandise or
• Buyout for $45 or
• Work one 3-hour Shop shift

When are donations accepted at The Shop?
Donations are accepted Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Donations are not accepted December 16 - January 1.

How do I receive Quota Credit for my donation?

1. Place clean and very gently-worn adult clothing on hangers.
   
   
2. Shoes, accessories, children's clothing, and household items should be placed in shopping bags or boxes.
   
   
3. Label all bags and boxes with your name.
   
4. Bring your donation to The Shop's back door during donation-acceptance hours, to the Shop Drop at a General Membership Meeting, or call The Shop to make arrangements for a donation pick-up at your home.

Donations are sorted, and merchandise that The Shop is not able to sell is put in the "discard" bin and passed on to another charitable organization. You will not receive Quota Credit for this merchandise.

Your donation is then entered into the computer, and an itemized list is printed. This list provides an estimated resale value for your donation, and this amount is applied as Quota Credit. These lists and an official donation receipt are mailed twice a year, in January and June.

How do I know if I have met my donation Quota?
You may call The Shop a few days after making a donation to receive the value. Active and Active Plus members may also check the website to receive quarterly donation information. In the Member Area click on My Profile and go to the Requirements tab.

What happens if I donate more than the required $200 worth of merchandise in a League year?
You will receive tax credit for all merchandise that is donated. However, the extra amount is not rolled over to meet the following year's Quota. We appreciate your generosity!

What are the dates for the League year?
Each new League year begins on June 1 and ends on May 31.
