Junior League of
Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula, Inc.

Advancing women's leadership for meaningful community impact since 1965

The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula has supported 94 community projects, awarded grants to more than 200 local nonprofits, contributed thousands of volunteer hours to our community and trained generations of peninsula women who have gone on to serve on nonprofit boards and found their own nonprofit organizations.

Over the years, we’ve played a key role in starting several local nonprofits including:
• The Tech Museum of Innovation
• Daybreak Shelter
• The Stanford Health Library
• Rebuilding Together Peninsula
• East Palo Alto Charter School
• Rosalie Rendu Center

Community Impact

The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula focuses on improving the wellbeing of its community through programs and community partnerships that address the impacts of systemic poverty on the physical and mental health of individuals and families, including the lack of sufficient housing, food, and provisions.

Community Grants

Responding to critical community needs in our geographic service area, JLPA•MP grants are available to nonprofit agencies for new programs, capital expenditures, and emergency or general operating funds.

Done in a Day Projects

Short, intensive community activities that are typically complete in a single day or weekend. Recent project partners include Art in Action, Hope’s Corner, CORA, and The Princess Project.

Project STEAM

In partnership with Project READ at the Redwood City Public Library, providing hands-on STEAM activities, essential take-home groceries, and social emotional learning material to children and families who might not otherwise have access to these resources.

State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC)

With 17 other Junior Leagues of California (representing 8,500+ women voters), CalSPAC:
