Spring 2014 Piper

HIGH IMPACT

The latest issue of Piper is sure to put a Spring in your step as we take a look at the JLPAMP's amazing contributions within our community, both recent and historic. Did you know we've nurtured nearly 100 community projects since our founding? Or that our Done in a Day volunteers logged nearly 1,000 hours this year?

In this Community Impact issue, you'll find:

  • An update on six past JLPAMP community projects that have gone on to achieve remarkable success after "leaving the nest."
  • A look at the 11 nonprofits selected to receive $50,000 in League grant money and the impact those dollars will have.
  • A peek behind the scenes of SPAC, and insights into what inspired four of our members to go into public service (hint: all that League training didn't hurt!).
  • A window into the future of our community work just what exactly is "Issue-Based Community Impact"?
