Mission Statement

Purpose The purpose of the Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula (JLPA•MP) is exclusively educational and charitable.
The League reaches out to women of all
races, religions and national origins who demonstrate a commitment to
voluntarism. Focus Area The JLPA•MP develops the potential of all families by mobilizing trained volunteers through community projects, grants and public policy advocacy.
Since 1965, the JLPA•MP has served the following Mid Peninsula communities: Atherton, Belmont, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, Stanford, Sunnyvale and Woodside.
Over that period, the League has contributed more than $2.5 million and thousands of volunteer hours to launch such notable not-for-profit organizations and programs as the Tech Museum of Innovation, Daybreak Shelter and Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas in April).
