JLPA•MP membership is 1,200 at the turn of the century, with more than 750 Sustainers and with Provisional classes which regularly attract 75 or more members.
In 2000, the JLPA•MP Endowment Fund, established in 1996, wins the Association's first place award for outstanding fund development program.
Junior Leagues celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the first Junior League in New York City with a rousing Centennial celebration. Locally, the JLPA•MP allocates $100,000 to two one-time grants to local nonprofit organizations, awarding the funds at its 2001 Annual Meeting. A regional Done in a Day event is held, mobilizing members of 19 Leagues in four western states to commemorate the founders' principles.
The JLPA•MP achieves national recognition in the The Wall Street Journal through its members' involvement in the "Save Carriage Manor" campaign, home to the League's popular Rosalie Rendu Center project.
The legislative sucesses of California SPAC (State Public Affairs Committee) reaches new heights as Governor Gray Davis signs numerous League-sponsored bills into law.
